Maintaining the MTB hydraulic brake system system is essential to ensure proper operation, efficiency and reliability. To do it yourself on your ATVyou'll need a purge kit. Here's how to choose one.

TYPES OF KITS

The purge kit will differ depending on the specific brake make and model.

These kits are made up of either syringes, as for SRAM, Avid, Formula brakes;
or a kind of funnel, as for Magura or Shimano brakes.

You'll need to choose a kit that's compatible with your brakes, and designed for the appropriate fluid (DOT or Mineral).
