Description
The CRANKBROTHERS Stamp Evopedal represents the new generation of flat pedals from Crankbrothers. Its main new feature is a platform 20% longer than that of the Stamp 7, offering exceptional support under the entire arch of the foot. This reduces fatigue on long descents and improves pedaling efficiency.
It also introduces an innovative dual-material construction: a forged aluminum body for strength, coupled with interchangeable composite bashguards on the outer edges. These pads protect the pedal body from rock impact and make it easier to glide over obstacles rather than snag.
What's the major difference with the Stamp 7? The Stamp Evo is longer and has replaceable side guards. It offers a superior sense of "locked-in" stability, particularly useful in the rough.
What are the plastic bashguards for? As well as protecting the aluminum, they allow the pedal to "slide" over a stone instead of stopping the bike dead in its tracks. It's a wear element that keeps your pedals looking new for longer.
Is it easy to maintain? Yes, Crankbrothers has retained easy access for greasing. It can be completely disassembled, with overhaul kits available if you feel any play after several seasons.
Are replacement pins supplied? Yes, the box usually contains an extra set of pimples and a spare pair of bashguards to anticipate maintenance.
