The HUTCHINSON Taipan 29x2.25 Hardskin RaceRipost XC Tubeless Ready tyre with folding bead is a model that prioritises rolling efficiency, light weight and grip. At home on mixed, rocky or wet terrain, it provides notably good lateral mud clearance thanks to the V-shaped knob blocks while delivering excellent lateral grip.
Versatile, this Taipan tyre from HUTCHINSON also benefits from the Hardskin high-resistance nylon textile mesh reinforcement placed under the tread and on the sidewalls to prevent cuts from sharp stones and further increase puncture resistance.
Combined with the new triple RaceRipost XC rubber compound, this model delivers excellent performance in terms of both rolling efficiency and longevity.
It can be used with or without an inner tube, and is ideal as a rear tyre for performance-oriented Cross Country riding.

"Fitted with 2.25-inch tires in the front and 2.10-inch tires in the rear. Excellent performance and great traction. (Forest ride with a lot of varied terrain) never had any issues, no flats. Performs just as well on dry surfaces as on wet trails. Tires installed in April. Might switch to a Toro up front for winter, though, since this tire isn’t really designed for winter mud rides."
