MAXXIS ASSEGAI 27.5x2.50 WT Exo+ 3C MaxxGrip Tubeless Ready Folding Tyre Black

Developed and tested in collaboration with Greg Minnaar, the MAXXIS Assegai 27.5x2.50" 3C tyre Maxx Grip Exo+ takes its name from a spear used by the Zulu people of South Africa. It is therefore the perfect weapon to conquer the mountains.

It features tall knobs providing great traction and good support on dry and wet, rooty or rocky terrain. The 3C Maxx Grip compound combines three different rubber compounds: one is hard for the base of the knobs to ensure good rigidity during deformation and maintain precise handling; the second is soft for the central knobs to optimise their deformation during braking, pedalling and obstacle clearance; and the last is very soft for the knobs on the sidewalls in order to provide maximum grip in corners.

In this Tubeless Ready version that can be mounted with or without an inner tube, this tyre also features an Exo+ casing increasing puncture resistance by 27% and pinch flat resistance by 28% whilst improving sidewall durability by 51%. Offering great resistance against punctures. It combines two proven technologies: the Silkshield textile layer placed from bead to bead which improves the robustness of the tread and the EXO protection reinforcing the tyre sidewalls. Durable and lightweight, it sits between the Exo and Double Down.
