Description
Inspired by the Ikon, the MAXXIS Rekon 29x2.25 3C MaxxSpeed Tubeless Ready tire with soft bead is, like the Ikon, designed for Cross-Country competition, but for highly technical terrain requiring greater grip and control. Its higher lugs are also larger and less numerous than those of the Ikon.
Featuring a soft 120 tpi carcass, this version is fitted with the triple 3C MaxxSpeed tread compound for enhanced performance. Three types of rubber are combined: a hard underlay and two softer rubber surfaces, particularly on the sides, to ensure better grip for the lateral studs.
In this Tubeless Ready version, which can be fitted with or without an inner tube, the tire is also equipped with Exo reinforcement on the sidewalls, providing extra protection against abrasion and tearing.
