Inspired by the Ikon, the MAXXIS Rekon MTB tyre 29x2.6" Exo SkinWall Tubeless Ready folding bead is, like it, designed for competition Cross-Country, but it is designed for highly technical terrain requiring more grip and efficiency. Taller, its knobs are also larger and fewer in number than those of the Ikon.
Featuring a robust 60 tpi casing, this version features the Dual compound rubber blend, which promotes efficiency. Two types of rubber are combined: a hard underlayer and a softer rubber on the surface, for a fully controlled ride.
In this Tubeless Ready version that can be fitted with or without an inner tube, this tyre also features the Exo reinforcement on the sidewalls, providing additional protection against abrasion and tears.
