Description

Inspired by the Ikon, the MAXXIS Rekon Race MTB tyre 29x2.35" Exo SkinWall Tubeless Ready folding bead is, like it, designed for competition Cross-Country, but it is designed for very technical and fast-rolling terrain requiring more grip and efficiency. Smaller, its knobs are also more numerous than those of the Ikon.

Featuring a robust 60 tpi casing, this version uses the Dual compound mix, which promotes efficiency. Two types of rubber are combined: a hard base layer and a softer rubber on the surface, for precise and controlled handling.

In this Tubeless Ready version, which can be fitted with or without an inner tube, this tyre also features Exo reinforcement on the sidewalls, providing additional protection against abrasion and tears.

High-performance tire even in

"The best-performing tire ever, even in mud".

Very rolling tire, a

"Very rolling tire, a little less grip but very versatile in itself! I use it all year round for XC-type riding and I'm very happy with it! On dry ground, in the mud, on the road ... . I did have a tire blowout on a high-speed descent, but that's not the tire's fault! This Tanwall version is certainly only aesthetic, but when you have a black frame it makes for an interesting biton rendering!"

Tough, versatile tire

"Very good tire, resistant and versatile, I use it all year round, front and rear".
