Unlike entry-level versions, this model uses an aluminum spider for its largest sprockets, resulting in substantial weight savings and better protection for your freehub body. With its 11–48-tooth range, it offers total versatility, whether for technical mountain biking (Advent MX line) or gravel adventures (Sword line).
Is it compatible with my Sword or Advent X derailleur? Yes, it’s perfectly optimized for microSHIFT Sword and Advent X 10-speed derailleurs. It uses the specific cable pull ratio for these series.
Why choose this version over the “H” (black) version? For weight and build quality. The EG106 version is lighter, and its nickel-plated finish makes maintenance easier while providing smoother shifting.
Does it fit on a standard wheel? Yes, it’s compatible with the Shimano HG freehub body standard, the most common on the market. It doesn’t require a specific hub (such as XD or Micro Spline).
