ENVE AR40 Tubeless Ready Wheelset (Centre Lock)

The ENVE AR40 wheelset joins the Foundation range with a versatility- and performance-oriented design. Its 40 mm carbon rim height and 25 mm internal width offer an excellent balance between aerodynamic efficiency, stability and comfort, on both road and degraded surfaces.

Aerodynamics is at the heart of the development of the ENVE AR40. Wind-tunnel tested in the Mercedes-Benz Formula One tunnel, it benefits from a realistic approach with real-world testing at various speeds. This method guarantees optimal efficiency and reassuring handling, even in crosswinds.

Designed for tubeless use, it features a HOOKLESS profile optimised for tyres over 28 mm. This choice delivers reduced rolling resistance, improved comfort and a significant reduction in the risk of punctures. Tyre pressure can thus be adjusted to maximise grip and efficiency.

The rim adopts WIDE HOOKLESS BEAD technology, designed to better dissipate impacts and protect against shocks and potholes. The moulded spoke holes, the result of a patented process, reinforce the structure while reducing weight and maintenance.

Finally, the INNERDRIVE™ hub ensures reliable and durable engagement thanks to its oversized 42 mm Ratchet system. This architecture reduces stress on the axle, extends bearing life and guarantees smooth, precise and high-performing power transfer over the long term.
