Can I fit my standard 22.2 mm handlebar on this stem? No, this stem is strictly reserved for handlebars with a diameter of 31.8 mm (often called "Oversize"). It is a complete system (Stem + Handlebar) that must be consistent.

What is the real advantage of 31.8 mm in Race? The larger the diameter, the less the handlebar will tend to "flex" under effort. For powerful riders or larger builds, this translates into a much more direct feeling of control and better power transmission.

Is it compatible with carbon forks? Yes, it fits perfectly on any 1-1/8" fork steerer, whether aluminium, chromoly or carbon (respecting the recommended torque settings).
