Description
The SHIMANO RT-MT900 disc disc is the most efficient heat management system ever produced by the Japanese brand, thanks to clever ventilation fins running the length of the disc.
Initially compatible only with the Groupesets XTR 9100, for Cross-Country and Enduro use, SHIMANO's triple-layer construction (stainless steel/aluminium/stainless steel) and cooling system lower the temperature by around 20°C compared with older-generation discs, while providing more powerful braking and extending the life of the discs. However, the spacers provided aren’t compatible with my XTR cassette; I had to keep the original spacer from my Scott, which was previously equipped with XT 8000 discs. "Very effective. You don't really notice a difference when braking from a cold start, but during an enduro race, the disc doesn't get very hot, which helps maintain very effective braking performance! The weight-to-strength ratio is great too. The discs match the description perfectly and meet my expectations very well (strength, durability, aesthetics). Excellent product!"
