Description

The Stem RITCHEY WCS Carbon Matrix C220 6° - Carbon is a top-of-the-range model offering excellent value for money thanks to the combination of carbon and aluminium.

The body of the Stem body is made of 7075 aluminum with a carbon exoskeleton, increasing rigidity by 12% compared to a standard C220 model.

This Stem benefits from C220 technology, with a 220° clamping zone around the handlebars, enabling stress to be distributed evenly over the parts concerned. The weight/stiffness ratio is virtually identical to that of C260 technology, but with the advantage of front mounting and dismounting, as with a Stem standard.

"Stem mounted on my Origine bike when I bought it. It's a beautiful product, with an impeccable finish. I was able to compare two of these stems in 100 mm and 80 mm with competing products. To be honest, I didn't see any obvious difference in behavior. The weight difference with an aluminum stem didn't make any difference either (about ten grams gain in the best case). It's a complex technology for a result no different from that of a stem three times cheaper. Except to the eye, where the plus is obvious, especially when matched with the brand's carbon aero handlebars."
