The WTB Byway TCS Light Fast Rolling Dual DNA SG2 Tubeless Ready Supple tyre is one of the most versatile models offered by the WTB brand, designed for use on the road and on challenging off-road tracks.

The WTB Byway tyre features a smooth tread flanked by textured bands. The intermediate diamond-shaped knobs improve traction on difficult terrain. The lateral lugs, which extend onto the sidewalls, secure grip in corners. The TCS Light tyres feature a single-layer casing.

This Gravel tyre uses TCS Tubeless technology allowing tubeless setup. Its supple and lightweight Light casing (120 tpi) incorporates the SG2 puncture protection, a flat nylon fibre insert wrapping the tyre from bead to bead. In addition to a lighter and more resistant construction, this SG2 protection also improves the airtightness of the Tubeless setup. The Dual Compound DNA Rubber compound features a hard rubber on the tread and a softer one on the sidewalls, to enhance grip. The Fast Rolling tyres feature a fast and efficient central compound paired with a softer, yet still effective, compound for the lateral lugs. Fast Rolling tyres prioritise speed and efficiency above all else.

Perfect for country roads

"Mounted without any difficulty for me. On the rear wheel of my Norco gravel bike, replacing a 40mm tire. 1st outing on a country road this morning. I'm fully satisfied. It's much smoother than the 40mm with studs, while retaining good road grip and comfort. I took a bit of the road and was pleasantly surprised by the grip on dry ground. On the other hand, it shows its limits on downhill gravel. So I recommend this tire for country roads and clean paths. We'll have to wait and see about wear and punctures, but with tubeless tires you're normally pretty well protected. ..."

Difficult to fit, not very resistant to punctures

"I mount this tire with an inner tube. I had a lot of trouble fitting it, it wouldn't sit properly on the rim (tubeless ready). I only manage by using washing-up liquid on the rim walls. After a Gravel outing, I noticed several cuts in the tire, one of which caused a puncture. I therefore have doubts about its resistance. The tire has less than 500km on it."
